How much does a website cost for a small business?
A short, honest guide with our own prices.

The short answer
With us, a one-page website is £149 and a website of up to five pages is £299. Those are our introductory prices for standard small business sites. Your written quote is the price you pay.
What changes the price
- The number of pages you need
- Whether we write the text or you supply it
- Photos, either yours or ones we need to arrange
- Extra features such as booking or an online shop
- How many rounds of changes you need
Costs that are not the design
A domain name is paid for every year. As an example, the first year of our own .uk domain cost about £6. That is a first-year price, and renewals cost more, so always check the renewal price before you buy. Hosting is a separate cost too, and we explain the options in your quote. If you want us to look after the site, maintenance is £25 a month with 30 days’ notice to cancel.
Extra work
Anything outside the agreed quote is priced separately and agreed in writing before we start.
How to compare quotes
- Ask what is included and what is not
- Ask who owns the site and the domain
- Ask what happens if you need changes later
- Be careful of anyone who guarantees Google rankings
