One-page or five-page website: which do you need?

How to choose the right size of website for your business, without paying for pages you do not need.

Written by the LocalWeb Studio team. Last updated: 5 November 2026.

The short answer

Choose a one-page website if you offer one main service and want customers to find you, trust you and get in touch quickly. Choose a website of up to five pages if you offer several services, want more detail for each, or want to be found in Google for several different searches.

A one-page website suits you if

  • You are starting out or testing a new idea
  • You offer one main service or product
  • Most customers already know you and just need your details
  • You want something professional online quickly

A five-page website suits you if

  • You offer several services that each need their own explanation
  • You want a gallery or portfolio of your work
  • You want to appear in Google for different services or areas
  • You sell to larger clients who expect more detail

Typical pages

A business website often has Home, Services, About, Gallery and Contact. Each page gets its own title and description for Google, which is why more pages can help you be found for more searches.

You can grow later

Starting with one page is not a dead end. We can add pages when you need them, and extra pages are quoted separately. Prices: one page £149, up to five pages £299. See pricing.
